Research notes
Research notes

Nutrition is from the Nutrition Facts image on this Amazon listing, which shows the current 'no added nitrates or nitrites' recipe (1 stick, 26 g: 120 kcal, 5 g protein). Jack Link's own site has no Nutrition Facts panel and says 6 g protein per 0.92 oz stick; it does not sell direct (links to Amazon/Walmart). The older, much more reviewed Amazon listing B00649MYJG ($15.98, 4.6 from 24,480 ratings) still shows the previous-recipe label (6 g protein, sodium nitrite), so it was not used. Price is Amazon's current one-time price (no deal badge, no Typical price shown). Chosen over Slim Jim, whose Giant stick lists about 6 g protein at 130 kcal and has no nutrition on its own site.
